After a Lancaster County man strangled his wife earlier this year, the 23-year-old woman searched online for symptoms of strangulation and how it interacts with Grave’s Disease. Kylee Ortiz died three days later on April 9—two days after police arrested her husband on strangulation and assault charges.was ruled natural, from a cause unrelated to any injuries to her neck by the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office. Searches on Ortiz’s phone revealed she may have thought she had undiagnosed Grave’s Disease, a condition that results in an overactive thyroid.
