I call for twotermlimits

Democrats like to put restrictions on others as a power grab. Freedom is the way, pass it on.

How does increasing wages lead to greater corporate value?

If a company takes actions to become more profitable, its stock will increase. Buybacks are a way for the company to reap the rewards of its actions. When deciding what to do with its cash, an option is to invest in itself.

Socialism at its best! Congrats to the Democrats

The surest way to take companies private is to meddle in how they’re managed by the congress.

I don’t think an investor would like the idea of a CEO not owning shares in the company she/he manages. What do EU corporations do? Are EU corporations restricted from buybacks?

Buying back billions of dollars of shares while announcing layoffs and factory and store closings is not a great look. Regulation in a free market is usually not a good idea, but neither were the bailouts for the too big to fail. But Wall Street didn't seem to mind those.

Socially liberal fiscally conservative I don't like restricting buying back stock that's a lot of it was issued pay for company programs

This is an interesting proposal. Corporations will likely find another way of boosting shareholder value. A potential negative is mandated wage increases. More and more companies may turn to automation to increase efficiency. Increasing unemployment.

Agree with restricting buy-backs, disagree with conditions; Mine are both 1) no outstanding corporate debt 2) discount to book value …. If you have money to spare, pay a special dividend and let share holders invest (hopefully in a growing business)

Who cares

Grandstanding! 'Politician Bingo' uses key words to get people who also don't understand to react.

Dumb idea

TheDemocrats attacking the wealth of MiddleClass .... they are chronic dedicated to breakingthebacks of WethePeople to increase our dependency & their control. Take the RedPill and WalkAway

Idiots

Not gov’s business

They helped China to be made 2025 on the way

It would be amazing if elected leaders actually understand fundamentals of what they are trying to change before they propose said changes.

What you’d expect in China with SOEs

Reminding everyone once again your money isn't your money, it's the socialists money.

Reverse the tax cuts and that will take care of it and Medicare too!

2/2...or maybe they do understand and are just not honest about it.... ...just hosing the undereducated, young/naive with their stupid pablum......

SenSanders SenSchumer ...those morons don't understand it's Leftist stupidity like this that causes businesses NOT to further invest, capital expansion, add people bc these investments will lose money as Leftists increase taxes & regulations...

They’re stuck in the past. Most new businesses are LLCs.

They favor dividends?

Another piece of socialism steak tossed onto the dinner plate by Grandpa Munster

And it is still a bad idea!
