The ones being hurt by the opioid epidemic are living with chronic pain. I got hurt while working in special education with/kids 3-22, last 5yrs w/severely disabled kids. I had multiple injuries (thanks work comp) and get NO relief. 😟 Chronic pain should be considered w/policy.

that is why we must protect our borders and know who gets into our country. Foreign Nationals entering illegally are a part of this epidemic whether the left cares or not is another story.

Why do US doctors prescribe 4-8 times the amount than in other parts of the world?

WAPOO where were you on this story 11 years ago? That's when this opoid fiasco was winding up!

Drugs of all kinds are the name of the game in America. They have to find out themselves however.

And responsible chronic pain sufferers are being punished..

And here we are being told by Trump that opiates are coming from across the border....they are....intentionally to be prescribed by American doctors 🤷🏻‍♂️

Greedy capitalists probably largest percentage of problem.

This is something that should have been addressed decades ago and we wouldn't be here now!!! 'Big Pharma' has had too much freedom for far far too long and the damage is beyond anyone's comprehension.

Don´t worry Trump will fix the opioid crisis.

I personally know multiple addicts, parents and siblings of addicts, parents and siblings of the dead. The Sacklers addicted hundreds of thousands of people, led to the death of thousands and deserve harsh justice.

The JOINT commission needs to stop forcing hospitals to treat pain like a vital, because it is not. Also get rid of Press Ganey scores for evaluating doctors. Both things put pressure on physicians to give opioids!!

😶

How about it at least starts with the Sacklers? Because nothing is happening to them.

What will stop is is holding drug companies accountable, pass legislation to limited profit margins, rescind advertising liberties, hamper unfettered bribery/lobbying.

RobertGebelhoff pharmaceutical cos $$$$$$$ to much lining Republicans pockets.

I pray a solution is obtained to at least reduce the number of people that die yearly from this opioid crisis

Bet the death of customers will stop it...
