Federal prosecutors scoffed at Trump's 'frivolous' attempt to postpone his criminal trial

on Thursday that the “demands of defendants’ professional schedules do not provide a basis to delay trial in this case. Many indicted defendants have demanding jobs that require a considerable amount of their time and energy, or a significant amount of travel.”

Smith also accused Trump and Nauta of creating a “misleading” account of the amount of CCTV footage prosecutors in the case handed over to the defendants. Smith’s team also pointed out that while 800,000 pages of discovery were turned over to the defense, nearly one-third consisted of “non-content email header and footer information” and that there are only about 4,500 “key” pages.

Federal judge calls out City of San Marcos in 'Trump Train' incidentA federal judge called out the City of San Marcos in court in a case involving an incident that happened during the 2020 presidential election with a 'Trump Train.' The staffers sued the city in 2021, and earlier this year, those same staffers said the City of San Marcos didn't keep good track of the incident records. A federal judge agreed and said San Marcos was 'out of line.' Both sides have until Friday to reach an agreement on attorney fees.
