Human rights and pro-democracy group, the Take-It-Back Movement (TIB) has asked the Nigeria Police Force to probe the alleged shooting of two brothers, identified as Abdulmalik Abubakar, and Ibrahim Abdulahi, by a vigilant group at their place of residence in Bobota, Kwali Area Council of Abuja. According to a Twitter post made on Tuesday by the group, AbdulMalik and Ibrahim were attacked on Sunday because of their refusal to surrender their mobile phone to the members of the vigilante group.

According to a Twitter post made on Tuesday by the group, AbdulMalik and Ibrahim were attacked on Sunday because of their refusal to surrender their mobile phone to the members of the vigilante group. The group alleged that the victims were currently at the hospital responding to treatment after being shot at the leg.

The group’s tweet reads: “At the early afternoon of July 9, 2023, groups of armed vigilante invaded the residence of brothers, Abdulmalik Abubakar, and Ibrahim Abdulahi, and shot them. The two brothers, 27, and 19 years of age respectively, presently undergoing treatment, had been attacked while sleeping at their home in Bobota, Kwali Area Council of Abuja.
