...socialism on display...

Oh France. I see so many stories like this. I wonder if in 40 years I'll be telling youngsters that France used to be a rich country.

Don't you love governments dictating important aspects of your life. How much to pay for things you want, your reproductive system, the clothes you wear. France has reach a new high in stupidity from bureaucrats.

Coke has offered to make a commercial in which French cows are in new-age bikinis, w/the slogan: Thongs go better w/Coke - New law in France forces retailers to raise prices of food staples, aiming to ensure better pay for French farmers Coke cost is up 5%

Retailers (market leader Leclerc) have instantly found a legal way around in spirit BOGOF or 50% reduction on second. Stupid technocrats (BrunoLeMaire from Right) wasting their time.

Isn’t more logical to put the country on a full sufficient production mode than to protect a few bucholyc mouth dangling pipe old French farmers?

I assume they'll soon mandate that windows must be broken once a month to ensure window makers earn better pay? 🤪

Aaahhhhh, Socialism once again impoverishing the public.

Another socialistic move - under the guise of a good deed- whose end result will be higher returns for retailers.

Better than in Torydom a.k.a. UK where the prices rise & the farmers see no benefit to themselves, all the profit goes to the shops selling the staple foods.
