Man awaiting trial for double-murder changes barrister.

22-year-old Yousef Palani - of Markievicz Heights in Sligo - is accused of murdering Aidan Moffitt on April 10th last year.

He is also accused of murdering Michael Snee two days later, and of attempting to murder another man the day before Mr Moffitt was killed.At Mr Palani's request, the judge today granted permission for his original lawyer to step down from the case and for another senior barrister to take his place.Main image: Yousef Palani is pictured in Sligo on April 14th, 2022.
