Bassist and singer Rodney O’Brien, who has not performed with Aslan for several years, claims he remains a member of the band and asserts he has 'full proprietary rights'

The civil case against the remaining members of the band and the estate of the late Christy Dignam is due before the High Court on Monday, July 10.

He is also claiming damages alleging breach of contract, misrepresentation, negligence and defamation. Ms McCormack told the Irish Sunday Mirror: "I can confirm there is a case before the courts, but we are trying to come to terms with the passing and loss of Christy. Thousands of fans lined the streets of his native Finglas to pay their final respects to the legendary singer before his wife Kathryn, daughter Kiera and close family and friends held a private ceremony at Glasnevin Cemetery.
