The Commission on Human Rights (CHR) has mobilized its regional office in the probe of the bombing of the parked car of lawyer Alberto Magulta in Davao City last June 15. | ManilaBulletin

In a statement, the CHR said all cases of harassment, intimidation, and violence against legal professionals must be resolved, because it is the only way that the government can ensure an enabling and safe environment for those working for the judiciary.

Citing a report of the Davao City police office, the CHR said that Magulta’s car was parked outside his law office. Minutes after the lawyer alighted from his vehicle and while already inside his office, the car exploded. Magulta was unharmed, it said.
