TDs have been urged to oppose a late amendment to the Courts and Civil Law Bill 2022 is intended to “gag” critics of the Data Protection Commission .

European Digital Rights , a network of close to 50 organisations, is one of a number of bodies to voice concern about the ministerial amendment included in the final stages of the bill, which is to be debated this evening.
