A native of York County and a graduate of Temple University, Tate is a board member of the Cultural Alliance of York County and serves as master of ceremonies of Encore, the York County High School Musical Theater Awards. Tate is a past president and multiple Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary Club of York, the 25th largest Rotary Club in the world.

He is the president of the board of the Miss PA Scholarship Foundation and serves on the board of the Four Chaplains Memorial of York County. Tate was named by York County Commissioners as the chairman of the York County Commission for America250PA, the celebration of our Nation’s Semiquincentennial.Pride Month is an opportunity for all folks in a community to celebrate LGBTQ+ people, allies, family and friends, appreciate diversity, and encourage inclusion in all aspects of life.
