A report from left-leaning outlet ProPublica last week accused Justice Samuel Alito of failing to disclose a fishing vacation from a hedge fund billionaire despite the man appearing before the court in a number of cases years later. Alito preemptively rebutted claims made by the report in an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal, where he claimed the accusations were exaggerated and that he followed proper reporting standards at the time.
A change to the number of justices on the Supreme Court could be changed by an act of Congress, whereas adding term limits for the Supreme Court would have to be done through a constitutional amendment. In addition to the Supreme Court, the House of Representatives and Senate do not have term limits, but the presidency has had term limits since 1951.
