Legal challenges against asylum seeker plans at RAF Scampton will continue after West Lindsey District Council won an appeal.
The councils argue housing migrants at the former airbases for several years would go against planning laws. Sally Grindrod-Smith Director of Planning, Regeneration and Communities at West Lindsey District Council, said: “We welcome the Court of Appeal’s decision, supporting the council’s request to allow the determination of the ‘Class Q’ issue to be made in the context of the pending judicial review proceedings.
A statement by West Lindsey District Council says: “The judicial review proceedings of West Lindsey District Council, Braintree District Council and an independent resident in Braintree, will be heard together in a permissions hearing on the 12 and 13 July.
