Mary Ann West pictured with her son Tyler.Tyler West and Kelsey Poll met at a bank and were unaware of their families’ history.“I remembered Kelsey’s birth because I had never experienced labor like this, before or since,” West recalled. “She really is a miracle.”
Although West never imagined seeing that baby again, 22 years later she discovered their interaction was fate.Kelsey Poll and with her now-mother-in-law, Mary Ann West.West’s son, Tyler, met Stacy’s daughter, Kelsey, at a bank — and the pair instantly hit it off. When their families first got together, Kelsey felt a familiar feeling about her now-mother-in-law but couldn’t put a finger on it.After they got engaged, the couple started to prepare for their wedding. They came across Kelsey’s baby photo album and landed on a page with the nurse inking Kelsey’s foot as a newborn.
To confirm her speculation, “We looked at the certificate with the footprints and there was a signature. I asked Tyler if that was his mom’s handwriting, and he said that it was definitely his mom’s handwriting.”The couple, who got married last month, walked into their marriage without a doubt in the world surrounded by loved ones.
“It was one of those things that confirmed to me that Tyler was someone I wanted to be with for the rest of my life, and it also made me feel closer to his mom and his family,” Kelsey said.
