But it gets worse. When I moved into the city I had a container for recycling, which I periodically took to the recycling centre on Attridge Drive. My cost was zero. Then the city decided we all needed our on container which now costs almost $10 per month.at a cost of approximately $6 per month. The problem is I have a garburator for my wet garbage and I mulch my grass clippings. It would take me several years to fill this bin if I chose to use it.
Yet I have no choice; I am stuck with I large container I have no space for and a cost I definitely do not appreciate. We do not need excuses from our city administration; we need to end the waste and mismanagement and, hopefully, after the next election, a new mayor and council.Article contentIt’s nearly impossible to know if Tasha Kheiriddin is consciously disingenuous and coy or simply ignorant.
The primary purpose of Kheiriddin’s opinion piece is that, in terms of an upcoming Supreme Court appointment, “Trudeau should eschew partisanship and simply choose the most qualified person for the job, regardless of gender, race or political leanings.” Kheiriddin claims that Trudeau’s previous appointments have been political and ideologically liberal or progressive. Kheiriddin’s evidence? Previous appointments are “from Newfoundland-Labrador,” “of South Asian descent,” and “the first Indigenous justice.”Article content
I have no idea whether these appointees have made decisions that are partisan with a left-wing ideological bent, but the description Kheiriddin provides is nothing more than a dog whistle to racists and misogynists.
