Biden expected to get endorsement by major abortion rights groups

EMILY’s List and NARAL Pro-Choice America are scheduled to announce their joint endorsement at a rally with Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, the people said. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is likely to back the president as well, though the group was going through formal endorsement proceedings on Thursday.

The Friday event will mark the one-year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s ruling on Dobbs that overturnedThe endorsements are not unexpected, given Biden’s status as an incumbent and considering how have been to the Biden administration. Last week, a group of leading environmental associations and top unions also endorsed the president’s reelection effort.The DNC and Biden campaign declined to comment.
