It’s a compelling argument – except the college says they’re not banning his speech. They just want Peterson to moderate his acerbic “tone.” Among the complaints to the college were hateful comments he’d made about transgender actor Elliot Page that got him kicked off Twitter for a time: “Remember when pride was a sin? And Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal physician.”In a Feb. 7, 2022 tweet, Peterson called Gerald Butts, the then-chief aide to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, a “prik.”
The college also found he made degrading and demeaning comments about a former client on the Rogan podcast, saying she’d made a false allegation that was a “vindictive pack of lies” and called Ottawa City Councillor Catherine McKenney, who uses they/them pronouns, an “appalling self-righteous moralizing thing.”Article content
