The court, as stated in a press statement made available to DAILY POST by MRA, also directed the apex bank to make available to the organisation all the information it requested in its May 22, 2020 letter regarding the bank’s data protection policies and practices.
MRA had asked the court to compel the bank and its governor to make available the information it requested in its May 22, 2020 letter to the bank in which it asked for, among other things, copies of all the CBN’s data protection policies issued in conformity with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation , 2019.
According to the MRA statement made available by its communications officer, Idowu Adewale, the presiding judge had frowned at the failure of the bank to give written notice to the organisation to access the aforementioned listed documents.
