Texans needed good park news

Excellent story about Harlan Crow’s unwillingness to disclose gifts and other favors given to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. This is not about politics. This is about the reputation of what is supposed to be the most revered court in the United States — the gold standard, the best of our justice system.

To our former mayors, while we appreciate your efforts to find common ground, they are misguided and create a false equivalence — reasonable Republicans may need to find another party, Democrats do not. Only Republicans encouraged and abetted an attempt to overthrow a free and fair election as determined by Bill Barr, 61 courts and federal election czar Christopher Krebs.

Only Republicans are rolling back the rights of the LGBTQ community and are banning the teaching of our history of slavery, the Japanese internment and Chinese exclusionary laws, while Democrats are standing up for the American ideals of inclusion and equity. This story on why people are buying electric vehicles other than environmental concerns is a welcome one. The silent and immediate power of even an average EV makes for an enjoyable driving experience, and it is great to see that acknowledged.
