DNA samples obtained during the March 4 assassination of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo have matched four suspects currently in police custody, the lawyer of the Degamo family said Tuesday.

According to Atty. Levito Baligod, the samples matched Eulogia Gonyon Jr., Winrich Isturis, Osmundo Rivero, and Rogelio Antipolo Jr.

Sought for comment, Atty. Jord Valenton, the legal counsel of Isturis and Gonyon, said there is a process of authentication that the claim must go through. filed against suspended Negros Oriental Representative Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves Jr., who is being linked to the killing. The probe was attended by the 10 suspects in the killing, members of the Degamo family, and relatives of other victims in the shooting at the governor's home.
