by Jerry Mitchell, Mississippi Today June 11, 2023 Civil rights attorney Jill Collen Jefferson was arrested Saturday night by Lexington police — the same department she complained about nine days earlier to Assistant U.S. Attorney General Kristen Clarke. Holmes County Sheriff Willie March confirmed Jefferson’s arrest. She is being held in the Holmes-Humphreys County/Regional Correctional Facility.
