Putrajaya appeals against court ruling granting Amri’s wife access to classified report

The government is appealing against a High Court judge’s ruling to allow Norhayati Mohd Ariffin’s application for limited access to the classified special task force report into her husband Amri Che mat’s enforced disappearance. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, June 7, 2023.

AMRI Che Mat’s wife’s bid to have limited access to the classified special task force report into her husband’s enforced disappearance has met a stumbling block. On May 9, High Court judge Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh allowed Norhayati Mohd Ariffin’s application for limited access to the report, needed for separate legal action against the police and government over Amri’s enforced disappearance on Nov 24, 2016.
