In just some of the latest cases before the courts, we reported on a murderer who was jailed for life for leaving his victim with nearly 200 injuries, and revealed the sordid details of a brothel keeper who trafficked prostitutes around the UK.

Murderer jailed David Jackson was jailed for life for the murder of 27-year-old Mckyla Taylor in the bedroom of a flat in Lowtown Street, Worksop, in the early hours of August 16, 2022. The young mum had suffered 199 separate injuries to her head and body, with forensic evidence showing most of these had been inflicted inside the property's bedroom by two screwdrivers discovered in the living room.

He pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent and received the life sentence, with a minimum term of 12 years. Read the full story here Williams appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on May 26 and was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment after pleading guilty to all charges. She was also given a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order , which prohibits her from entering the three stores, and ordered to pay £150 compensation.
