S.A.P.D. says it does not consider these shootings as an uptick in crime since they weren’t related and they were all targeted.
Two of those shootings happened on the city’s east side. The first happened Friday night on a soccer field on Roland Avenue. Police say an argument erupted between two groups which ended in gunfire. “I wouldn’t call it a trend, I would call them two separate incidents with people looking for somebody to do them harm,” said McManus.
