A man has been charged with making threats to kill and possession of a blade following a "disturbance" in the Cregagh Estate area of East Belfast.

A 37-year-old man will appear in Belfast Magistrates Court on Friday, June 2, following reports of a disturbance at around 7.10pm on Wednesday, May 31. He has been charged with threats to kill and possessing an article with a blade or point in a public place.A PSNI spokesperson said: " Police investigating a report of a disturbance in the Cregagh Estate area of east Belfast on Wednesday evening, 31st May have charged a man to court.
