Surely the Attorney General could provide the answer. He is, after all, the Legal Adviser to the Government.

It’s just foot dragging, the government didn’t want to go near this with a barge pole

Why on earth should legislation be needed if the individuals in question are prepared to voluntarily provide DNA samples? Legislation would of course be needed if the plan was to *compel* people to provide DNA, but surely that's not what's envisaged here?

If not change Legislation
