PUTRAJAYA, May 29 — Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has given his assurance that action will be taken against anyone involved with the South Kelantan Development Authority criminal breach of trust case involving RM24.8 million.
“I will take stern action and I will not compromise as it involves taxpayers’ money, and the money was meant for settlers. But instead, that individual allegedly used it for his personal interest. “I have already ordered the secretary-general to take legal action immediately,” Zahid told a press conference after launching the anti-sexual harassment advocacy programme roadshow here today.
Last Saturday, the police detained an accounting assistant from Kesedar to assist a probe into a criminal breach of trust case involving RM24.8 million. It was reported that Kelantan police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said the 37-year-old man was arrested at his home in Bandar Gua Musang after they received a report regarding missing Kesedar funds.
