Ms Thorpe confirmed on Sunday that she had been advised there was “enough grounds for a case” after claiming she had experienced racism while a member of the Greens party room.
“I think Lidia really needs to probably go out there and pick her own fights and making sure she hasn’t got too much on the run here,” Ms Lambie told Sky News Australia host Peter Stefanovic on Monday. “From one politician to another, there is a lot of awful things going on out there. We need to get a roof over people’s heads, we’ve got all this stuff going on in Indigenous communities there.The independent Victorian Senator quit the Greens in February over its position on the Voice to Parliament, arguing she would fight for a black sovereign movement from outside the minor party.
“Why didn’t you stand up for racism in the party, against me?” Ms Thorpe is heard asking Ms Hanson-Young.Ms Hanson-Young categorically rejected “any accusation” put to her over claims of racism within the Greens.
