A complete disgrace that the court has not honoured a simple request to recognise both parents. The stupidity is that women don't insist on joining surnames from the start

Kids with different surnames to their parents don’t think anything of it unless they’re told to...

Why is this news? Do fucking better!

This is because the mothers thinks her kids are upset that she has a different name...really? Really? Or has she been in their ear about it? My kids have a different last name to me & couldn’t care less. Nobody cares.

Clearly parenting is about who gets to tag the child. Crappiest parents ever.

This is top of the class news. The Age should be embarrassed. It must be the ch 9 influence !

Makes one wonder why?

The basis of the story seems to suggest both parents are treating the child as something that is owned not nurtured and loved unconditionally

Mothers give birth. Children have mothers name.

🤦🏼‍♀️ news?

Suggests that both of the people in their relationship want to be right, not happy. How will they cope with actual parenting?

I’m gobsmacked........a win for a Dad. Wow.

Get a paternity test my friend.
