Police were called to Cail Bruich last night.

Police were called to a Michelin-Star restaurant in Glasgow last night amid claims that animal rights activists launched a protest over the 'lack' of vegan options on the menu.

It is understood that seven people were involved in the incident at the Great Western road venue, the Daily Record reports.Other luxury restaurants in Southampton, Bristol, Birmingham, Lancaster, and London were also been the location of "sit-ins" by supporters of Animal Rising last night including Salt Bae's flagship London restaurant that serves steak coated in gold costing upwards of £700 each.

Protestor Marshall, 25, said: "How we currently treat intelligent, feeling animals and our beautiful countryside is not reflective of who we want to be as a society. We can have a safe, secure food system that feeds everyone without the need to harm animals or devastate nature."
