How are BME youth not criminalising themselves by...committing criminal acts? Why do writers in the Guardian constantly espouse such half-witted, reality-challenged and absurd positions?

You know what, I'm done. If you don't care about the disproprtionate number of young black kids killing other young black kids, then why should any of us?

The only way to stop the institutional racism is to legalise the behaviour of young BME, amirite?

No it is exercising the law based on statistical data collected over the last 30 years. All statistical data is on the met police website, very easily accessible and shows predominantly minorities committing crime directly connected to gangs. Facts are not racist they are FACTS

Knife crime on the streets per capita is much higher among black people than any other race !! dont try to quote statistics than are confused by cherry picking figures out of thin air !!

They are criminals, 95% of the stabbings are being done by BME youths.They wear hoodies for a reason, what are 16/17 year olds doing on street corners at night? Where do parents think their children are? Out there stabbing

They criminalise themselves by committing crime.
