SUSPENDED Negros Oriental Third District Rep. Arnolfo Teves Jr. dismissed as 'fake news' the announcement issued by Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla that he is scheduled to return to the Philippines today, Wednesday.

'You want a more reliable source? Sino bang reliable source, yung source nila or ako ?' Rep. Teves said in a radio interview.'[That is] fake news. Dapat tinanong muna nila ako bago sila nagsalita sa mga desisyon ko di ba ?' he added.Citing information gathered from a reliable source, Remulla disclosed on Tuesday that Teves, who is currently in Timor-Leste, is returning to the country today.

However, the Timor-Leste government denied his application and that he has been ordered to leave the country within five days.The counsel of Teves, Ferdinand Topacio, said on Tuesday that his client is still Timor-Leste 'because the five-day notice that he must leave that country has not yet been implemented.
