The county has petitioned the York County Court of Common Pleas to extend voting hours to accommodate for the disruption, according to county officials.

Unexpected road construction has impeded public access to a York County voting precinct, according to county officials.

Access to Conewago-1, the voting precinct at the Conewago Elementary School on 570 Copenhaffer Road, is unexpectedly limited to voters because of the construction, according to Ted Czech, York County spokesperson. Voters trying to access the precinct on Copenhaffer Road by way of Susquehanna Trail will need to use a detour. Alternatively, voters can use Butter Road to access the precinct, Czech said.

York County is petitioning the York County Court of Common Pleas to extend voting hours for the precinct to offset the delays and accommodate those who were unable to vote earlier Tuesday, according to Czech.
