There are quite a few teams that could replace the Justice League as the premiere group of heroes in the rebooted DC Universe, should that be the path the new universe decides to take. James Gunn and Peter Safran's new DC Universe has announced the first projects that are part of the shared universe's Chapter One.
9 Doom Patrol Despite Doom Patrol having been canceled, the HBO Max series was a hit. The show told the tale of a group of misfits who became a family and had to save the world, and each other, over and over. Gunn's DC Universe will adapt some obscure characters and teams, such as the announced Creature Commandos animated series and The Authority movie. Based on that, the ragtag Doom Patrol team would fit in perfectly with the storytelling Gunn has planned for the DC Universe.
6 Young Justice Two versions of the Young Justice team could be adapted in the DC Universe. Both versions could serve as a breath of fresh air compared to the darker take on DC's heroes that was present in the old DCEU, as Young Justice is known to feature some of DC's most vibrant and positive heroes. The comic book version of the team has as its core members Tim Drake, Superboy, Wonder Girl, and Impulse.
