Glenn Allen provided emotional testimony in the second-degree murder trial for his son Jesse Allen, sharing details of witnessing him stab his other son, 18-year-old son Wayne Allen

THUNDER BAY — The father of Wayne Allen, who was stabbed to death by his brother, Jesse Allen, said he can never stop thinking about what he saw that January afternoon in his living room.

A visibly emotional Glenn Allen took the jury through what he saw the afternoon of Jan. 30, 2021 in his Flicker Avenue residence in Manitouwadge. “[Jesse] had the sunglasses on and looked at me through them and he just smiled. He just smiled,” Glenn said. “I was dumbfounded. I had gotten up out of my chair when I saw what was going on and I just stopped,” Glenn testified. “I couldn’t fathom it anymore. Jesse throws his hat off and his glasses off and jumps on the couch and folds the knife and throws it and says: ‘how do you like that dad, two birds with one stone.’”
