At the time those charges were announced, police alleged he drugged the women and took them to a rural property east of Calgary, which was the subject of a days-long police search over the Easter long weekend. The latest charges also involved victims reportedly in the sex trade and allege he drugged and sexually assaulted them as well.
Arial told Justice Karen Molle that she has yet to receive any disclosure on the new charges Mantha faces, so she asked that his bail hearing be adjourned to May 26. Crown prosecutor Rose Greenwood did not oppose Arial’s request to adjourned her client’s application for judicial interim release.
