BOISE — A jury of seven men and five women has let Judge Steven Boyce know that they reached a verdict in the weekslong murder trial for Lori Vallow Daybell.
Madison County prosecutor Rob Wood argued that Lori Daybell knew exactly what was happening and said her behavior shows that she is a killer.Wood argued that Daybell acted selfishly, looking for money, power and sex. He said she wanted her children gone, referred to them as "obstacles" and encouraged their deaths — noting that Lori Daybell was the common thread in the murders of JJ and Tylee.
"Of the 15,000 texts you have as evidence, show me one that shows Lori is a part of that conspiracy. ... There is no such text," he said. He said there were 60 witnesses and hundreds of exhibits presented during the trial. While those show Lori Daybell's children are dead, he said, they don't show that she is guilty of murder.Larry Woodcock, JJ's grandfather, spoke outside of the courtroom on Friday morning and thanked jurors, the court and media.
UPDATE: A jury found Lori Vallow Daybell guilty of killing her 2 children and conspiring to kill her new husband's wife.
