'As a consequence, the Club and Club Secretary have been vindicated of any alleged criminal activity.'

A Co Tyrone GAA club have spoken out after receiving confirmation that prosecutions against the club have been dropped.

"As the membership will be aware, the Club held a successful and legitimate fundraising Initiative between January and March 2021 ," they said. "We ensured strict compliance with law and were both aggrieved and vexed by the subsequent PSNI investigation and prosecution which ensued. "The Club can now officially inform the membership that following consideration by the Public Prosecution Service, a decision has been taken to withdraw the charges against the Club and the Club Secretary and offer no evidence to the Court against either.
