Thwala accused of fabricating evidence in Meyiwa trial

Thwala's testimony has contradicted that of Tumelo Madlala, who took the stand last year.

The two men were among a group of people who were with Meyiwa when he was shot at singer Kelly Khumalo's home in Vosloorus. This week Thwala told court Meyiwa and Madlala got into a scuffle with one of two intruders they say stormed into the house.Advocate Charles Mnisi for one of the five murder accused, has continued his cross-examination of Thwala.

"I am going to put it to you that you have come here to fabricate evidence to suit a particular narrative on the circumstances on which the deceased was killed in the house. "Little did you realise that that narrative that you are trying to fabricate or the evidence to suit that narrative which you are trying to fabricate would ultimately not stand the test of time."
