I welcome the new law. If the tenant can pay the monthly rent and hand the property over to you at the end of the tenancy just the way it was at the beginning, it shouldn’t matter what colour their skins are.
Discrimination=Racist=one's own race is superior. Preference=liking,leaning,taste. Ppl tend to be more comfortable with ppl of their own ‘type’. That is not racist or unusual. Ppl are too focused on keeping racism alive by endlessly posting questions trying to stir up resentment.
Why not you draft something about salary levels based on unnecessary skills ie allowance for mandarin which is for me is pure bullshit. There is a huge gap of salary between races.

Before you call landlords racist don’t you want to find out the reasons for their preference?
Almost self defeating to draft anti discrimination law for rental, because landlords own their property obviously have preferences. Not every Muslim landlord would welcome deity praying, pork cooking, beer drinking & wild college students renting their unit(s), rightzuraida_my?
Ok... But how does one sort out eg the cooking utensils or food stored in fridge esp in a student house ? May not be racism but more of compatibility issues here ...
