MACC studying ‘legal issues’ highlighted by Wan Saiful’s defence, court told

Former Bersatu information chief Wan Saiful Wan Jan is accused of accepting a bribe amounting to RM6.9 million in relation to the Jana Wibawa initiative.

Earlier, Wan Saiful’s lawyer, Amer Hamzah Arshad, told sessions court judge Rozina Ayob he sent a letter to MACC on May 2. Meanwhile, Siti Amirah also informed Rozina the prosecution has yet to hand over bank documents to the defence as required under Section 51A of the CPC in preparation of the defence’s case.
