Su Hui and Su Yin will play in the women’s doubles, while Su Yin will also play in the mixed doubles with team captain Choong Hon Jian.
The team competition starts tomorrow at the Morodok Techno badminton hall in Phnom Penh, followed by the individual events on Friday. The 20-year-old Su Hui, who was born five minutes after Su Yin, said there was a strong bond between them.“I tend to get angry easily while my sister is always calm even when the situation is tough.
“That’s the good part, as she always brings this positive attitude and calms me down when I get mad or if I’m stuck in some problems.On court, though, both display strong physical attributes. “Maybe, we look tough because both of us love to play extreme games. If we are not playing badminton, you can see us at Sunway Lagoon, trying out some extreme stunts,” she said.Su Hui-Su Yin are ranked 86th in the world and those ahead of them are Pearly Tan-M.Thinaah and Vivian Hoo-Lim Chiew Sien .The duo, who train under former international Lee Meng Yean, are hoping to win a medal.
