Police were called to the Salem house twice prior to the shooting, with residents asking that Desmond D. Lane be removed from the property, court documents said.

Desmond D. Lane, 30, of Salem City, shot Derek Akins, 28, of Salem City, and John Robinson, 33, of Penns Grove, to death during an incident at a residence on Oct. 8, 2020.
