University of Fort Hare Vice-Chancellor Professor Sakhela Buhlungu is one of 13 people named on an alleged hit list that was found in a Jeep used by the hitmen.

This emerged in the Dimbaza Magistrate's Court during the bail application of five men accused of killing Mboneli Vesele and Petrus Roets.
