SERAP gives NJC 5 days to take over CJN Onnoghen’s case - Vanguard News NigeriaSocio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, (SERAP) has sent an open petition to the Next-In-Rank to the Chairman of the National Judicial Council (NJC) urging the NJC “to immediately take over from the Code of Conduct Tribunal the case of Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen with a view to setting up a committee to investigate the allegations of breach of constitutional asset declaration requirements against him.” This is the best solution to this whole challenge we are facing as a nation I support SERAP. The highest decision making body of the NJC is the Senate and Onnoghen chairs it. He knows the NJC will indict him and recommend his removal. This is why he has postponed their meeting indefinitely so that they won't give him a vote of no confidence. NJC can never return him to office, he is a gonner
