A former Monmouth County teacher convicted of bank fraud argued he should still get his pension because his crime had nothing to do with his career as an educator.

The teacher’s attorney, Arnold Lakind, did not immediately respond to a request to comment on the ruling. The state pension board also did not immediately respond to a request to comment.
