Two Lakers coaches walked on the court during Jordan Poole's late brick, and, per NBA rules, could have been assessed a technical foul.

’s potential game-tying 3-pointer with 10 seconds to play in Los Angeles’ 117-112 Game 1 win at Chase Center in San Francisco on Tuesday.

Jent, with one foot fully on the court, screamed at Lakers wing Jarred Vanderbilt to run over and contest Poole’s three. Then Ham and raised a hand just as Poole rose up for his shot. Both men were standing just 5 feet to Poole’s left, clearly in his peripheral vision., which specifically deals with conduct, states that “a technical foul shall be assessed for unsportsmanlike tactics” and among those listed is “a coach entering onto the court without permission of an official.” Granted, there are lots of rules in the NBA Rulebook that are poorly enforced , but by the letter of the law, leaving the coach’s box is a no-no.

Replays showed just how close Ham was to Poole and just how far he was onto the court . Furthermore, an official was standing right next to Ham as he advanced onto the court, almost running into the Lakers’ first-year coach as the official raised his hand to signal a 3-point shot.
