Law enforcement officers arrested a man boarding a United flight from San Francisco to Houston on suspicion of battery of a United employee.

. Jimenez also alleged that the man was slurring his words while talking to a gate attendant before he went to an emergency exit door, successfully opened it and tried to jump out before “everybody pulled him back to safety.”

Flight UA505 was scheduled to leave SFO around midnight and arrive at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. The flight did leave and arrive on time, according toThe 47-year-old man from Montgomery, Texas, is now banned from flying with United Airlines. “This customer’s behavior was unacceptable. We’re grateful to our team for their professionalism and for looking out for the safety of our customers and their fellow United employees,” United Airlines told SFGATE in a statement.
