The search for a Texas man who allegedly gunned down five neighbors Friday after they asked him to stop shooting in his yard continued Sunday as residents expressed alarm that he remained on the run.

“He is out there, and he’s a threat to the community,” James Smith, special agent in charge of that office, told reporters Saturday.

On Sunday, the FBI’s Houston office released photos of Oropeza and a tattoo on his left arm. People can share tips about his whereabouts at 936-653-4367, the officeOropeza faces five counts of murder for the killings of four adults and an 8-year-old child, San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers said. Authorities say all five victims were shot in the head. Five other people survived the shooting in the small city about 45 miles northeast of downtown Houston.
