Labour rights groups urge reforms

Labour rights groups urge the government for an improved labour policy to better suit post-pandemic needs. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, April 30, 2023.

Social Protection Contributors’ Advisory Association Malaysia’s Callistus Antony D’Angelus said the introduction of better legislation that would provide greater social protection for Malaysians should be done immediately. “There must be serious consequences for senior management and directors of companies who breach the country’s labour laws,” he said in a statement today.
